SHPE Jr. is devoted to branching out to the UCF community and reaching out to potential next generation Knights and future engineers. Throughout its history, SHPE Jr. has inspired and transformed the minds and expectations of local students ranging from elementary to high school in the Orlando area by exhibiting the vastness and beauty of the world of STEM. Although this year has carried challenging times and a new normal to our daily lives, SHPE Jr. is committed to adapting to our ever-so-changing world and to work effortlessly to continue shining light and opportunities through STEM to the UCF community.

Our most beloved and cherished event is our annual SHPE Jr. Conference, where we invite local students from the community to visit our UCF campus to partake in thought-provoking STEM workshops and are able to meet n’ greet with professional industry guest speakers. From designing and testing hand-built bottle rockets to learning how to code Scratch for Arduino are just a few of the highlights for local students of our annual conference. Pen Pal activities with elementary students and hosting a Noche de Ciencias for sponsored local high school chapters are other amazing events that our committee plans to provide.
