Industrial Engineering and Management Systems
I am a fifth-year Industrial Engineering major with a minor in Engineering Leadership. I was born and raised in South Florida but my family hails from the Caribbean, specifically Trinidad and Tobago. I spent two years at the United States Coast Guard Academy where I played on the volleyball team and in my summers developed sound professional qualities by working in the operational fleet and by sailing through the Atlantic Ocean. I officially became a UCF Knight in 2018 and quickly adapted to and welcomed the academic rigor of an engineering student. In my spare time, you can find me working behind the desk at the Recreation and Wellness Center, practicing the art of yoga, and prioritizing my mental, spiritual, and physical health. Most importantly, I have a deep appreciation for my culture and heritage as it has guided me throughout life. My multi-racial, Caribbean background offers a unique perspective to various matters. My goal in life is to make others feel understood and implement ethically derived systems in our society. I am incredibly excited and honored to be a part of the College of Engineering and Computer Sciences’ Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity Task Force and get to work!
