Rodolfo Valiente Romero

Rodolfo Valiente is a Ph.D. Student in Computer Engineering at the University of Central Florida (UCF) and a researcher at Connected and Autonomous Vehicles Research Lab. His research is mainly in connected autonomous vehicles (CAVs), computer vision, and machine learning, with experience in signal processing, artificial intelligence, embedded systems, computer networks, cloud computing, and cyber-physical systems. He completed his B.Sc. in electrical engineering at Technological University of Havana (CUJAE), and his M.Sc. in electrical and computer engineering at the University of Sao Paulo (USP). He worked as a software engineer and researcher at the Laboratory of Computer Networks and Architecture (LARC) and as a lecturer and research associate at CUJAE, where he conducted research and supervised students. His research has been supported by NFS, CNPq, and FUSP. He has contributed to multiple CAVs projects supported by Hyundai, Ford, and NSF. Rodolfo is a member of the IEEE and IEEE Communications Society (IEEE ComSoc) and Brazilian Computer Society(SBC). On the personal side, Rodolfo has broad interests spanning healthy living, running, reading, history, , social welfare, puzzles, and science in general.
